Those daysss......

As the world cup fever is going on, I also remember my days in school how we used to play when we were in our preliminary classes. It all started in 2nd -3rd class (courtesy Amit aka bihari ), he had a passion for cricket and due to all his efforts and hard work our dream team comes into existence. At first it’s not so enjoyable to play in streets and right after exams makes it more difficult but at that age who think of exams. With the time we all started enjoying it, it became an exciting factor in exam we are not excited about exams but it’s the street cricket which makes us happy and this fact does not change till now. Our bunch of 10 or 12 friends divided into two teams and our school’s nearby street became our battlefield. Usually we selected the streets with dead end which was helpful as no or little interference was expected……

The street which has drain (nala) at the last is our most favorite field due to space provided by it, after that conty (chillad) is taking place for a ball(of course a plastic ball aka ande ki ball) which was the toughest part of the process. Our exam cardboards which are useless in exam halls had the biggest part of our play, they were used as the bat and our bags as wickets (seems to be very useful things….lol ).
We played in every empty plot and street of that area. We played till 8th after that almost all team players (fighters) left school and so our cricket left those memorable streets. I am always missing my dream team Amit (captain),Gaurav Gaur, Jai Yadav, Ajay Manral, Parveen Gupta, Sunmain Singh (my savior…...lambi khani h fir kabhi),Sumit Dhayani, Dilpreet and many more who are out of reach of my memory –you all guys are always special for me and teach my what friends are…… those days always remain special for me when we have so much to do and we never seems to busy!!!!
